About this space

Step into this newly renovated 1940s cottage, designed with bold eclectic decor for a unique and inviting stay. Located just one block from historic Ingleside Village and minutes from downtown Macon, local hospitals, and the Amphitheater. The kitchen is updated with brand-new appliances and is fully stocked for your cooking needs. Unwind in plush king or queen-size beds, and enjoy the beautifully designed Mermaid shower in the updated bathroom. A brand-new washer and dryer allow you to return home with a fresh wardrobe.

The space

The kitchen retains its charming 1940s vibe with checkerboard tile flooring and brand-new appliances, fully equipped for delicious meals. The two bedrooms feature plush bedding—one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. The updated bathroom includes a stylish tiled shower.

Outdoor Oasis

The covered patio features a four-person dining table and a grill for outdoor meals. This space is shared with the main home. Grill items can be found in the black island in the kitchen. Overhead lights on the patio can be turned on using switches located on the beams.

The neighborhood is generally quiet at night, though occasional music from Society Garden events may be heard on weekends. Being just an 8–9 minute drive from Atrium Hospital, ambulance sirens may also be noticeable.

Location

Situated one block from Ingleside Village, this bungalow provides easy access to Macon’s major hospitals—Atrium Healthcare, Piedmont Medical, Piedmont Northside, and Regency LTach. Nearby entertainment options include museums, restaurants, and the new Amphitheater.

Guest access

Guests can access Birdie Hut through the main entrance under the patio. The door features a keypad lock, and a code will be provided on the day of arrival.
